DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investor Case Management. Serve as the principal facilitation contact for assigned investment projects; support investors from initial engagement through establishment, implementation, operation, expansion and reinvestment; and maintain a clear understanding of each project’s requirements, milestones, commitments, risks and outstanding matters.
- Government and Agency Coordination. Identify approvals, licences, permits and government processes applicable to each project; coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies, local authorities, utilities, statutory bodies and other stakeholders; arrange meetings, technical discussions and referrals; and ensure agreed actions are followed through.
- Land, Infrastructure and Utilities Facilitation. Coordinate investor requirements relating to land, industrial sites, electricity, water, gas, telecommunications, logistics and other supporting infrastructure. Work with relevant agencies and service providers to obtain information on availability, requirements, timelines and constraints, and escalate material infrastructure or implementation issues to the Investment Manager and Chief Operating Officer where necessary.
- Project Implementation Monitoring. Develop and maintain project implementation trackers for assigned investors; monitor milestones, approvals, construction readiness, investment commitments and other agreed deliverables; and identify delays and bottlenecks early and coordinate practical interventions.
- Issue Resolution and Escalation. Identify the cause of investor issues rather than merely transmitting requests between parties; coordinate appropriate agencies to develop practical solutions; prepare clear escalation notes for matters requiring senior management or State-level intervention; and maintain an issue log showing responsibility, agreed action, target date and status.
- Investor Aftercare. Maintain regular engagement with established investors after project implementation; identify operational issues, expansion opportunities, reinvestment prospects and potential supply-chain development; gather investor feedback on Sarawak’s investment environment and government service delivery; and escalate recurring or systemic issues for policy or process improvement.
- Support to Investment Manager and Analysts. Work closely with the Investment Manager in managing strategic accounts and investor relationships; provide practical project information to Investment Analysts for project assessment and investment papers; use sector intelligence prepared by Analysts to improve investor engagement and facilitation; and participate in investor meetings, missions, site visits and business-matching programmes.
- Reporting and Documentation. Prepare investor meeting briefs, facilitation updates, project status reports, correspondence, issue papers and management updates; maintain complete and accurate CRM/project records; and record commitments made by InvestSarawak, investors and government stakeholders and ensure proper follow-up.
- Service Standards and Governance. Provide investors with accurate information and avoid making commitments outside InvestSarawak’s authority. Protect confidential and commercially sensitive information, maintain professional standards of responsiveness, impartiality and integrity, and perform other duties reasonably assigned by the Investment Manager, Chief Operating Officer or Chief Executive Officer.
